The medical center is committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research.Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive emergency medicine physician services in a Trauma Level II Emergency DepartmentEvaluate, diagnose, and manage the full spectrum of emergency medical conditions including trauma, cardiac emergencies, respiratory disorders, neurological events, and psychiatric emergenciesPerform emergency procedures including central venous line placement, arterial catheter placement, chest tube thoracostomy, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, procedural sedation, cardioversion, and cricothyroidotomyProvide initial evaluation, emergent treatment, and stabilization for life- and limb-threatening conditionsManage wound care, fracture/dislocation reduction, and application of orthopedic devicesCoordinate patient admissions, consultations, and transfers as clinically indicatedDocument all patient encounters in the electronic health record systemProvide discharge education and follow-up instructions to patientsParticipate in quality assurance and performance improvement activitiesSupervise and educate health professions trainees rotating through the Emergency DepartmentQualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM/ABFM)Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. stateCurrent AHA BLS and ACLS certificationsCurrent DEA certificateActive NPI numberProficient in spoken and written EnglishSchedule:Full-time positions available (3 FTE)The Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a yearShifts include 8- and 12-hour rotations with various start timesKurzSolutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
