Job Title: HVAC Maintenance Technician 3

Pay Rate: $32 to $36.00/Hr

Duration: 3 months (May get further extension based on performance)

Location: Gibsonton, FL

Shift: 6 AM to 2 PM

This position is for the Power/Energy division.

We are looking for an HVAC Maintenance Technician 3

As an HVAC Maintenance Technician 3, you will be joining a team at a cutting-edge investment casting facility. You will ensure peak performance of advanced vacuum furnace systems at a cutting-edge investment casting facility. Each day involves hands-on troubleshooting, precision repairs, and collaboration with a safety-focused team. • Diagnose, repair, and maintain large rooftop units (40-ton+), including compressors , economizers, VFDs, and control systems.
\n
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on chilled water systems , including chillers , pumps , air handlers, co i ls , valves, and related components.
\n
• Conduct system testing using gauges , meters , and diagnostic tools to evaluate performance and operational efficiency.
\n
• Inspect and maintain rooftop curbs , ductwork, and mechanical penetration seals.
\n
• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, and compliance recordkeeping.
\n
• Ensure all HVAC equipment meets performance specifications and environmental guidelines.
\n
• Execute PM schedules for RTUs, chillers, cooling towers, and mechanical equipment.
\n
• Identify potential failures in advance and recommend corrective actions or capital improvements.
\n
• Maintain accurate logs, inspections, and system documentation.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Prior work with AAON or Trane is a plus.
\n
• State HVAC license with Class A certification.
\n
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair.
\n
• Familiarity with humidity and temperature controls.
\n
• Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
\n
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting skills.
\n
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms and digital maintenance tools.
\n
• Certifications (Preferred): Florida Class A Certification.
\n
• Ability to drive root cause-driven improvement processes, including managing and following through on action items to completion.
\n
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks on time.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
\n
